    The Coastal Nanny Agency, LLC. is owned in and operated out of Savannah, GA, and currently specializes in child, pet, and home care services as well as household staffing in the Savannah, Wilmington Island, Whitemarsh Island, Tybee Island, Pooler, Richmond Hill, Hinesville, Brunswick, and surrounding coastal GA areas. Our team also services Bluffton, Beaufort, Hilton Head Island, and other coastal SC areas.

 Family Client FAQs

    1. You begin by filling out our family questionnaire form located below that will provide our team necessary insight on how to best assist your family.

    2. We will conduct a free phone consultation with family. Our team completes this extra step to ensure that we know the ins and outs of your family and dynamic, allowing us to provide the best placement services. This also allows your family an opportunity to receive answers to any and all questions that you may have for our team.

    3. Families will receive an invoice for our placement fee corresponding with their needs. The fee for our services can either be paid in full with a 40% refund if unable to provide care or a 60/40 split in which the 60% is non-refundable and the 40% is not paid until receiving placement. If placement does not come to fruition, no payment of the remaining 40% is owed.

    4. Once this is completed, our team will create a group chat between parents and placement coordinators to align an outlet for easy communication between all parties.

    5. Our team handles the recruitment, interviewing, skills assessment, reference calls to a minimum of three childcare related reference, surface and social background check. You do no 'heavy lifting' or work in this regard. Our program is highly selective and we only accept the highest quality of vetted caregivers to ensure that your family and lives will be exceptionally rewarded.

    6. Our team will align a virtual meeting for the initial introduction between caregiver and family. One of our team members will be in attendance for this virtual meeting to support, guide, ask further questions, and assess how the meeting goes.

    7. Once the initial virtual meeting is completed, assuming both parties wish to proceed, our team will align an in person meeting within the family home.

    8. If all parties wish to move forward, our team will create customized contractual agreements, handling the negotiation of wages/benefits/all contract terms. Family and provider will review and sign contracts.

    9. The provider will be given the family's contact information, and will introduce themselves to open a line of communication.

    10. The provider will begin working within the family home!

    11. Our team members will conduct check ins weekly, then slowly taper off to monthly or bi-monthly as time continues to ensure happiness and success of placement.

  • Here at The Coastal Nanny Agency, we value your family and your child/pet safety, as well as your long term happiness.

    Our team has an extensive screening process for all providers to allow for us to find and work with only the best of the best.

    Our team handles all recruitment, interviewing, skills assessment, reference calls to a minimum of three childcare related references, surface and social background check, as well as formal background check. The formal and final background check covers all bases from local to international records, motor vehicle records, registries, and more. Our program is highly selective and we only accept the highest quality of vetted caregivers to ensure that your family and lives will be exceptionally rewarded.

  • Each family can meet with up to six candidates.

    Typically, we present one to six candidates for each family client after interviewing upwards of over one hundred candidates for each position. We find that most family clients find their perfect match within the first one to three candidates that are presented on average as we utilize a vide variety of resources to recruit for your needs in care, and ensure to take into account all wants, morals, values, and family dynamics into consideration when finding and presenting candidates.

  • The Coastal Nanny Agency matching process for placement services can take anywhere from two to four weeks traditionally. For occasional sitter care, pet drop ins, pet overnight care, we typically recommend booking one to two weeks in advance from the dates needed.

    The time length of our placement process does vary upon many different factors and the specific needs of your family.

    However, we assure you any wait is well worth it and recommend beginning your search with us a minimum of one month before the needed start date in order to ensure that you receive the perfect fit for your family.

  • Our providers vary in age. We do require that a provider must be 20 years of age minimum and that the applicants (no matter the age) are certified, experienced, with valid references, can adequately perform all necessary duties for your family, and have clean backgrounds.

  • This questions pertains mostly to our nanny placement services. This question and its answer is contingent upon your hiring option that you choose. To get an in depth explanation, visit our Pricing Overview page.

    Our hiring options are catered towards the family needs and desires. Our direct hire option is $415. This covers the costs of our three person team doing the interviewing and vetting of hundreds of candidates, the presentation to the family, the hosting of the virtual and in person meetings between family and provider, as well as the contract issuing and a temporary replacement period. Our agency hire option is $1415 plus a percentage based agency fee per hour of the time worked. This covers the cost of our three person team doing the interviewing and vetting of hundreds of candidates, the presentation to the family, the hosting of the virtual and in person meetings between family and provider, as well as the contract issuing and a temporary replacement period, as well as payroll services over the course of the year and tax handling services. Our premier hire is $9715. This covers unlimited occasional sitter placements, unlimited childcare provider placements, unlimited specialty placements, unlimited house cleaner placements, as well as payroll and tax handling services.

    With agency hire and premier hire, our team handles the payroll and tax with ease. The family will receive an invoice via email and text with amount of hours worked, hourly wage of provider, agency fee total, and total owed. The family will then pay the invoice and our team will handle paying the provider through our payroll system.

    Our team offers a satisfaction guarantee. Families will receive an invoice for our placement fee corresponding with their needs. The fee for our services can either be paid in full with a 40% refund if unable to provide care or a 60/40 split in which the 60% is non-refundable and the 40% is not paid until receiving placement. If placement does not come to fruition, no payment of the remaining 40% is owed.

    Excluding our up front fees, our hiring packages come with something that is called APS or “After Placement Support.” The cost of this service is contingent upon the hiring route chosen. After Placement Support is all encompassing including around the clock assistance as needed, replacements for long or short term periods due to provider vacation, provider illness, separation, or termination at no extra cost (no secondary placement fee), and extra babysitting services at no extra cost (no booking fee or package cost).

    Our team greatly respects and values the privacy and safety of our coastal nanny families. We do not share any information with any party outside of the provider chosen for you. The only information given to your arranged provider is the name and ages of children, parent names, information on pets in home if applicable, family dynamic, family house rules, and other details that is essential for the provider to know in order to adequately prepare for and understand the job position.

    We also include a Non-Disclosure Agreement within our contractual agreements for placement services. Your information is safe with us.

  • Our consultation and placement fees can be paid in two ways to provide accessibility to families of all dynamics, as well as ensure that you receive quality services.

    1. Payment in full with 40% refund in the event of not being able to provide a candidate.

    2. 60% up front that is nonrefundable to go towards our team’s work for recruitment, interviewing, and screening. 40% at time of receiving placement.

Childcare Provider FAQs

  • We understand that this is very personal information to share with us! Here at The Coastal Nanny Agency, we value your privacy and confidentiality.

    Our team uses this information to conduct thorough background checks per your consent. We also use this information (social security number) to add our nannies to our payroll system. It is common practices for most employers and other agencies to ask for this information during the application process.

    Please note that as an official and registered business in the operating states, our team follows all laws and statutes in accordance with state and federal law. Your private information is safe with us!

  • No. With The Coastal Nanny Agency, there are no charges for providers to be matched or hired. However, there may be fees associated with certifications within the future of your career that pertain to childcare (but are not limited to) such as CPR, First Aid, and infant training courses through or outside of The Coastal Nanny Agency. Please reach out to our team if you would like guidance on certifications that can elevate and boost your background and credentials.

  • Yes.

    Our team does not do these things to be invasive, but it is extremely important to us that our providers are highly vetted and qualified personnel who will consistently ensure children and family safety, as well as exist as honorable role models that in doing so, represent The Coastal Nanny Agency well.

  • Providers will fill out the application on our website.

    It is required that the childcare provider applicant then send in all documents that pertain to hire (certifications, degrees, resume, etc.). via email to team@thecoastalnanny.com.

    Our team will then reach out to schedule an in person interview or an interview via video chat if circumstances do not allow for in person meet.

    Once the provider has been accepted through this portion of the hiring process, our team handles the behind the scenes work of reference calling, as well as social and background checking.

    Once completing the vetting stages, if accepted, the provider will be presented to our open family positions that work for all needs or put on our waiting list to be placed.

    If presented to a family, you will complete a virtual and in person meeting with the family.

    After completion of meeting the family, you will then sign a contractual agreement and begin working!

  • Our hiring process varies in the length of time that it may take to be matched. The Coastal Nanny Agency’s mission is to be as quick and efficient as possible when matching our childcare providers, and we aim to reassure our providers that finding the PERFECT family fit is much more beneficial than just finding a family fit. We appreciate and want the best for our providers and understand the urgency of matchmaking.

  • Here at The Coastal Nanny Agency, we do recommend that our applicants are qualified and certified before applying. It is a requirement that, at the bare minimum, our providers are certified with CPR (child and infant) and First Aid (child and infant) within the 90 day mark of their employment. However, in the rare case that a providers is hired without these essential certifications, we will provide all resources necessary for provider excellence in any and all childcare environments. We respect our childcare providers and want all providers to reach their fullest potentials in order to be matched with their perfect family matches.

  • We have created a simple booking process for you! When you reach out to The Coastal Nanny Agency to book a cleaning service, we are ready to talk with you through your needs, circumstances, and desires. You will have the option to choose one of our three high quality cleaning packages. Once you have chosen your cleaning package, we will coordinate a date and time that works best for you in order for our partners to provide a complimentary walk through and free cleaning estimate. All cleaning services begin with an initial deep clean, and any additional cleaning that is discussed during the initial booking. Finally, you will receive your first invoice and you can sit back and relax in your fully refreshed space!

  • All home cleaners are thoroughly vetted through an extensive application process, as well as receive hands-on training by cleaning professionals. Our partners have over ten years of experience and ensure that every home cleaner delivers high quality cleans.

  • For our initial cleans, our company and its partners provide thorough deep cleaning services. The first initial clean is a deep clean and thorough organization process that varies from 2-4 hours depending upon amount of living spaces to be cleaned, square footage and several other factors.
